Please make sure your dog is fit and healthy before attending your appointment. the grooming of sickly or elderly dogs is entirely at owners own risk and may be sent home at any point.
It is the owners responsibility to ensure that their dog is up to date with all vaccinations and boosters. if the dog contracts any illness or disease that is preventable with a vaccination, the groomer is not liable.
A health and coat check will be performed prior to the groom, however the grooming process may uncover pre-existing skin conditions that the owner may not be aware of and the groomer cannot be held liable.
In order to make the groom go as smoothly and without stress as possible, the use of restraints such as neck nooses and belly straps will be used. if it is deemed necessary, a muzzle may be used. It is the owners responsibility to inform the groomer if they do not want their dog to wear a muzzle and if so the groom may be refused. You must inform the groomer if your dog is aggressive and/or has ever bitten anyone.
The use of clippers, scissors, claw clippers and ear forceps may be used during the groom and although the safety and wellbeing of the dog is the upmost concern of the groomer, accidents can and may occur. If an accident does occur, the groomer will call the owner immediately and/or seek veterinary help. The groomer reserves the right to stop the groom if they deem it to be too dangerous to continue.
Payment will be taken on collection of the dog. *Any quote given prior to the groom taking place may be subject to change depending on the condition of the dogs coat, or the dogs behaviour. The owner will be called to discuss these changes before they happen. If the owner is not contactable, the groomer reserves the right to continue as they deem necessary for the dogs health, i.e. clipping off a matted coat.
Owners must turn up to their appointments on time, any later than 15 minutes and the groom is subject to cancellation. owners must also collect their dog by the time agreed, or they may incur a dog sitting charge.
Clipping off matted coats will drastically change the dogs appearance and can aggravate the skin. It is the owners responsibility to take care of any aftercare treatments for skin issues or purchase a jumper/coat for colder months.
The groomer reserves the right to refuse any highly aggressive or highly anxious dogs that may pose a risk.
Sedated dogs will not be accepted.
Please note that any dog may be refused or discontinued from grooming at any stage of the appointment if deemed necessary by the groomer. Reasons for refusal may include, but are not limited to, behavioral concerns, health or safety risks, or any other circumstance the groomer considers appropriate. In such cases, the client may still be liable for a partial or full grooming fee, depending on the services completed and the time allocated.
